St. Martins Summer - a romantic one-act comedy
Bark and Chloe—outsiders both—take an awkward, fumbling-for-words walk in the hills and discover a surprising connection that, for the moment at least, promises a future.
Run Time: 30 min. If Sophia gets a 61 on her exam, she'll get into Coldwater State. But she was up all night, distracted by a mysterious text, and now she can't focus. Sophia's only hope: Flowcus, the concentration pill that sits tantalizingly close on the teacher's desk.
This play illustrates a battle against an exam, waged during the age of distraction. Sophia's quest to get into Coldwater State ends in a way that neither she nor the teacher could have anticipated and leads to a conclusion that's both surprising and unexpectedly moving. Run Time: 40 min.
A bustling college campus has impressive classrooms and other attractive features, but the Frog Fountain, which hasn't seen a live frog in ages, isn't one of them. There is a rumor the college is going to tear it down, but it is the scene of love, breakups, arguments, fraternity antics, anguish, mystery and where an band tries to enter the rough world of rock bands that don't happen to be talented. Based on several disastrous theatrical experiences, this play examines the process of putting on a show that is less than good.
We go from the audition—where the director is more worried about roast beef than paying attention to the warm-up exercise, and the neurotic cast pretends to be bacon—to rehearsals—where a passive-aggressive stage manager gives everyone grief.
